EHX East River Drive – BJF “HiBeams” Mod
The ERD is basically a true bypass Tube Screamer.
If you are happy with your stock ERD, then congrats and enjoy!

- Higher headroom
- Increased dynamic response
- More harmonically appropriate distortion
- More natural compression and sustain
The “HiBeams” morph from BJF takes a TS in a few new directions and makes it usable with humbuckers and higher output pickups where a normal screamer gets too compressed and muffled.
We change the clipping diodes and a few other things to give it more headroom and dynamic drive (as you would expect from a BJF design)…and a first-ever internal light bulb addition (yes, a real mini light bulb) to the circuit, that gives a soft compression and sustain to compliment the added headroom and dynamic dirt…oh yeah, and more dirt, re-EQ’d to fit in a band mix.

The BJF “ODD Couple” Mod. This mod reworks the pedal to make it into what it truly wants to be.
Rather than change the basic character of the OS-2, Bjorn reworked the gain stages and EQ so that OD AND Distortion can happily live in the same pedal. And you can effectively blend between the two.

The BJF “Studio” Mod turns the GE-7 into a studio quality, high headroom, very low noise EQ…and you can even use it at 18v now!
This isn’t just a cap swap in an attempt to lower the noise floor like the other GE-7 mods…
We actually swap out the gyros and properly re-calibrate to true, flat studio standards. And we rework it so that by using it at 18v, it will really be fully flat and very quiet with full, warm headroom.
You will really enjoy having a studio quality EQ on your pedalboard.
